Heaven Now Or Later?

        Heaven Now Or Later?

A lot of people are experiencing their heaven on earth right now. It is temporary.

Some people have not been blessed with such wealth and opportunities to see the world and have anything they want at their grasp. Should we experience heaven right now? Or later in eternity? Having a great life is not a sinful thing, but when it gives a person the illusion that nothing is wrong and there is no need for Christ, or if their blissful and carefree life keeps their mind occupied away from pondering a need for Christ then it is a sin. A very dangerous sin.

For those of us who are blessed with less than fortunate circumstances and life situations (and yes I DO mean blessed) we have the hope and confidence in Christ when we reach heaven.

“This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent —Jesus Christ.” John 17:3

Some Christians may not have been able to do anything that people would think is amazing work for God like some famous missionaries of the past, or evangelists and even characters in the Bible; but we can only do what our life situation and circumstances allows. So to anyone who feels they have not lived much of a productive life due to feeling stagnant or not having opportunities or places to go remember what Jesus said after the disciples asked “What can we do to perform the works of God?” (John 6:28):

“This is the work of God: that you believe in the One He has sent.” John 6:29

This is enough, and sometimes we need to be satisfied simply just to believe His Word and rest in it even if we feel we lead insignificant lives and simply just exist day to day. The work of God that gives Him glory, work we will be rewarded for is simply to believe in the one He sent, Jesus Christ. After all we cannot all be super apostles or super missionaries like some people…

Unlike the secular world: the people who are rich and famous who believe they have no real need for the things of God, and are living amazing lives right now, and experiencing the world around them; our heaven is eternal and in the next life. What amazing things we will see, hear, and experience forever with God.
